How to Get Rid of Bad Skin

Ladies, we all want to look our best. Whether we prefer the natural look and don’t fuss too much with our natural appearance or we like to wear make up and pretty clothes, none of us want to leave the house not feeling our best. Unfortunately all the make up in the world isn’t going to help us if we’ve got bad skin, in fact it’s probably going to make it worse. So if you’re prone to breakouts, have an oily T-zone or just an uneven skin tone read on for a few simple tricks to help get you that flawless finish the natural way.

Dairy

The first thing you can evaluate is your dairy intake. We all know calcium is a vital part of any healthy diet but too much dairy produce from like cows milk, cheese and chocolate can be very bad for your skin. These products all contain a hormone naturally produced by cows that reacts with a natural hormone found in humans. In simple terms these two hormones work against each other and look for a release which is usually through the skin resulting in an oily complexion and spots. We all need dairy in our diet for the calcium it provides but if you’re really prone to spots and bad skin you might want to try switching to goats milk for a few weeks and you should start to notice a significant difference.

Junk Food

We all know we’re not meant to eat too much junk food but it’s not only bad for your heart and your waist line but it’s also very bad for your skin. Processed food and junk like crisps, chocolate and ready meals are full of saturated fats which the body struggles to break down. If you’ve got too much saturated fat in your body it’s going to try and escape through the skin which is also going to lead to blocked pores, an oily complexion and spots. Next time you’re reaching for that plate of fries you have extra incentive to leave it alone.

Smoking

I’m not going  to lecture you on the dangers of smoking because if you don’t already know how bad it is for you then you’re not very smart and quite frankly natural selection can do without you. It’s not just your lungs and heart that are being damaged by cigarettes it’s your skin too. When you smoke you’re constricting your blood vessels which mean you’re more likely to have blemished skin. It also means your skin is going to lose its natural elasticity too which is why smoking ages your appearance. You may not care about the damage you’re doing to your lungs as they’re out of mind and out of sight but your face is on display for everyone to see so stub it out now to keep your skin looking fabulous.

Stress

Most of us can’t help getting stressed from time to time; some people are laid back to the point they’re comatose whereas others start to panic over the slightest little thing. Either way when you’re stressing out your body produces more hormones than usual which like everything else needs to find a way out. As they’re pushing their way through your pores they’re going to be making your skin oily and more prone to spots. Next time you feel a break down coming on take a deep breath and think of your poor skin.

Make Up

For those of you who like to wear a little make up you know you need to take it off before you go to bed each night. You’re effectively coating your skin in an extra layer all in the name of vanity. If you can, try and find a foundation that lets your skin breathe rather than one that just clogs your pours. Most make up these days is designed to last all day; it needs to keep up with your busy lifestyle which is why you have to remember to always take it off before you go to bed to keep your skin looking fresh.

Common Sense

Now it’s simply a case of living a healthy lifestyle. Eat right with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and always drink lots of fresh water. Don’t forget to exercise; regular exercise means your circulation is better and your body is able to delivery nutrients to your skin cells more effectively- so hop on your bike and start exercising.
